Job summary

The Children’s Clinic in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support outpatient care across multiple clinic sites. Under supervision of licensed staff, you will assist with patient intake, rooming, exams, and clinical workflows while ensuring a welcoming, efficient environment.

The role requires travel between sites, strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and bilingual ability (Spanish/Khmer preferred). Prior MA experience and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations.
• Bilingual in Spanish/Khmer strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Performs clinical duties in line with competency requirements.
• Documents patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Supports patient intake, rooming, and preparation for examinations.
• Assists with Women's Health procedures and patient care activities.
• Maintains infection prevention, safety, and a clean environment.
• Communicates concerns to licensed clinical staff and supports team.
• Provides administrative and clerical support as needed.
• Contributes to continuity and coordination of patient care.
• Completes required MA competencies and trainings.
