Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather medical information and support providers with accurate data. You will assist in patient screenings, vitals, and documentation, working within a dynamic care team to enhance the patient experience.

Role requires flexibility, energy, and strong communication. You will perform vaccinations and point-of-care tests, manage records, and contribute to efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• State or national certification as required by state.
• 2 years of current experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: navigating Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets.
• Non-English language proficiency as demographics require.
• US work authorization confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow: room patients, take vital signs, screenings, medication reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
• May administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests per state rules.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment and request external records.
