INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians Cardiology Outpatient Clinic in Oklahoma City, OK is hiring a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant Float. The position will float across Oklahoma City and Rural clinics, delivering direct patient care, taking vitals, patient history, lab work, and coordinating care under supervision.

The role requires either current Medical Assistant certification or at least 6 months MA clinic experience, plus CPR/BLS within 90 days, strong English communication, and

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and collect patient history.
• Perform venipuncture, lab duties, and x-ray as directed.
• Document patient information, lab values, pain levels, and education needs.
• Assist in plan of care development and care interventions (excl. narcotics).
• Manage high call volume with professional phone etiquette.
• Float to clinics to provide patient care support.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Float provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.

The Medical Assistant Float responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Floats to clinics that need support when conducting patient care.
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 of months of clinic MA experience

AND

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
• This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Driver's License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
