WellMed, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across the DFW North Team, primarily Irving and nearby clinics. You will assist physicians, prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and help with routine procedures under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current national MA certification (or within 180 days), BLS, basic Excel, and a willingness to travel. Competitive benefits and sign-on bonus apply.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers at time of hire or within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel to various locations as needed.
• TB screening and immunity requirements for MMR, Varicella, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Performs MA duties including assisting physicians and nursing staff.
• Operates diagnostic equipment and collects specimens.
• Prepares patients and examines rooms; maintains patient records.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by providers and policies.
• Ensures infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Travel to clinics in Irving and surrounding areas as needed.
