Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our dermatologist teams across Crest Hill, Naperville, Yorkville, Morris and New Lenox locations. This full-time role focuses on rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a friendly, efficient patient experience.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year medical office experience, CMA/LPN/RN credentials or will complete our Forefront Derm Tech program, and are comfortable traveling to clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must possess organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information

• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse (Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete the Forefront Derm Tech certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed

For this position, the base pay range is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training.
