Job description

QualDerm Partners is seeking a proactive and adaptable Medical Assistant (Float) to join our diverse team across multiple locations, with a willingness to float between Charlotte, NC and Monroe, NC.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  2. Assisting doctors during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
  3. Performing basic laboratory tests and preparing specimens for analysis.
  4. Maintaining patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  5. Coordinating and scheduling patient appointments across different locations.
  6. Educating patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
  7. Ensuring examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably dermatology.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel between locations.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and office software.
