Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant 3 who serves as the first point of contact for patient care and handles advanced administrative tasks. The role includes taking vital signs, documenting in the EMR, and supporting vaccine administration and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities also include sterilizing rooms, coordinating with physicians, and mentoring other staff while traveling to other clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered MA
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Current/Active CPR Certification
• Travel to other clinics
• 3+ years MA experience in PCO center
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer medications/vaccines, perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Sterilize/clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers; deliver direct patient care within certification scope.
• Support process improvements and mentor other Medical Assistants.

You Will Be Reporting To The Manager, Clinic/Center Administration

Job ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant 3 performs clinical responsibilities. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and performing diagnostic screening tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant 3 sterilizes and cleans equipment, maintains examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions typically focus on methods and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. The Medical Assistant 3 has advanced skills, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$44,900 - $60,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
