American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide general medical care under supervision in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location and supports daily patient flow and administrative tasks.

The role involves obtaining vitals, preparing exams, administering medications as directed, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a clean, organized exam space across franchises.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Record vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prep patient for exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timely.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per procedures.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing or in-house processing.
• Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance per instructions.
• Respond to lab messages and callback requests.
• Perform drug screening procedures per rules and regulations.
• Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered per procedure.
• Coordinate physician referrals and service pre-certifications as needed.
