Actalent is urgently hiring for Medicals Assistants in Astoria!

We are currently hiring for multiple Medical Assistants in Astoria Queens for a busy Fertility practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months worth of hands on experience.

Qualifications Include

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant Experience
• Phlebotomy Experience (Straight Needle & Butterfly needle)
• Fertility Experience - Preferred
  
  

Hours

• Monday - Friday, start time between 6am-8am - need to flexible all, 8 hour shift
  
  

Pay Rate

• Depending on Experience, $22-$28 an hour
  
  

Description

• Take and record patients’ vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during exams
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by a physician
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain examination rooms
• Greet patients and manage front-desk operations
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars
• Maintain and update patient medical records
• Handle billing, coding, and insurance documentation
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
