Piedmont Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team in Newnan, GA. You will support patient care, triage, and occupational medicine services while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of healthcare experience and proven EMR proficiency, particularly with EPIC. This role supports a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Team-oriented approach to patient care and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting as needed.
• Assist with Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, audiograms, PFT).
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and proper documentation.
