Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. This role involves performing routine medical procedures under clinician supervision, registering patients, and supporting various center operations to ensure a strong patient experience.

The MSS will handle vital signs, specimen collection, assist during examinations, and maintain documentation with HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced environment. Training and ongoing competency development provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred or 1+ year direct patient care as MA
• Must meet state credentials for employment requirements and applicable regulations
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Occupational medicine requirements knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing
• Prepare patients for exams incl. vitals and ancillary tests
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.)
• Assist providers during examinations
• Handle clerical tasks and record keeping related to patient care
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safe, clean facility
• Maintain supplies and equipment and assist with patient flow
