Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Norwich, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care. You’ll assist with vitals, chart prep, referrals, scheduling, and in-house procedures alongside a team of physicians.

Qualifications

• Diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification required.
• BLS Provider credential within 90 days of hire.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, medication and allergy reconciliation, patient history and virtual health.
• Conducts point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out and prior authorizations.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
