Job summary

Banner Health Clinic Country Club in Mesa, AZ is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support a family-centered primary care team. You will handle rooming, vitals, vaccine administration assistance, prior authorizations, and minor procedures to help patients thrive.

Open Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, with no evenings or weekend hours. Uncertified MAs can enroll in an accredited program post-hire and gain certification for a pay increase.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy and patient prep.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information are accurate.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and proper infection control practices.
• Assist with inventory, orders and supply stocking as directed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to support high-quality care.
• Complete onboarding/orientation activities and participate in ongoing training.
