Job summary

Hugh Chatham Health in Richfield, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for the 01120 GCMG Richfield Family Medicine department. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a schedule of 8-5, Monday through Friday, and pay range of $21.85 to $34.35 per hour.

As a Medical Assistant you will room patients, perform vital signs, assist with procedures, lab duties, administer meds and vaccines, manage referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations, while maintaining CLIA standards and patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of program.
• Two years of verifiable full-timeMA experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visits tasks: vitals, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
