Job description

Work Schedule :

Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with one day off per week. No weekends or holidays required. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:

  • Assist our Family Medicine providers with diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent care.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-family centered care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, document complaints, medications, allergies, perform EKGs, and administer medications and treatments.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or licensure as an LPN, or completion of UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Program, or attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, or acceptance into UWH MA Apprenticeship Program, or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
Work Experience
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant or LPN experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year or licensure as an LPN upon hire.
  • Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification or LPN licensure required upon hire if applicable.
  • CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.
