Purpose: The role of the Medical Assistant-Scribe is to provide outstanding support to physicians and physician's assistants while providing exceptional care to patients and customers within the clinical scope of a Medical Assistant-Scribe.

Dermatology office experience is preferred, but any medical assisting/scribe experience will be accepted. Regardless of your experience level, you will be provided with access to an online certification course as well as on-the-job training. Job Duties:

• Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting room, and exam room experience
• Prepares patients to be seen by physicians, collects health histories and changes as required by the healthcare provider
• Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in our EHR
• Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider
• Provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks
• Assists in routine clerical functions such as updating medical information in patient's records, obtaining prior authorizations, obtaining medical records from other providers and entering charges for billing purposes
• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols
• Maintain work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions
• Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Cares deeply about patients and is always willing to go the extra mile
