Job summary

SIHF Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant for a split-location role serving Granite City and Glen Carbon, IL. The MA will provide direct patient care and support to clinicians across clinics, traveling between sites as needed to meet scheduling and staffing requirements.

The position requires solid clinical skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work well in a team. Normal hours are Monday through Friday with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; BLS certification preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required licensure and stay current with training.
• Ability to perform direct patient care and assist clinicians in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and record results in patient chart.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist doctors during exams and procedures.
• Administer injections and perform CLIA-waived tests as directed.
• Schedule referrals and manage patient communications.
• Obtain medical records and verify patient information.
