Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Group in Washington seeks a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners and deliver patient-centered care in our clinic. You will perform MA II level tasks under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.

Required are completion of an accredited MA program or apprenticeship, Washington MA certification on hire, and CPR/BLS within 30 days, plus at least 6 months MA experience. Excellent teamwork and patient focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on clinical training in MA program.
• Completion of MA apprenticeship program preferred.
• Military medical training or equivalent considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner under delegation to provide patient care.
• Perform MA II duties in accordance with clinic policies.

Job description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or,
• Coursework/Training:Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or,
• Coursework/Training:Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or,
• Coursework/Training:Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
