Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Downers Grove is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Dermatology team. This full-time role supports physicians in examinations, minor surgeries, and patient care across sites as needed.

Responsibilities include patient registration, vital signs, lab tests, and medication assistance. Applicants should have MA training and CPR certification; travel to other sites may be required. We offer strong benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program required.
• Active MA certification may be required (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA).
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified on hire.
• May require phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections if certified.
• Process prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms for patient visits.
• Deliver excellent customer service and embody CARE values.
• Travel to assist other local clinics as needed.

Overview: Medical Assistant

Position Highlights:

• Dermatology
• Full-Time; 40 hours/week
• Hours: Hours- Monday- Thursday 8:00am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-1:30pm
• Location: Downers Grove and Hinsdale if needed
• Travel: Travel to other sites for coverage as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
