Job summary

Colorado Kidney Care in Denver, CO is hiring a certified Medical Assistant for a non-remote, in-office role. Starting pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience, with bilingual pay possible.

Employment requires successful pre-employment screening and background check. The ideal candidate will have MA certification, at least six months of MA experience, excellent computer skills, and strong patient service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out accurately and timely.
• Room patients, process urine specimens, and take vitals.
• Process patient payments and record billing entries.
• Prepare payment batches and handle office cash.
• Authorize medications, tests, and procedures as needed.
• Distribute notes/information to outside providers when required.
• Prepare for visits and document lab work in EMR.

Qualified candidatesmust have completed a certified Medical Assistant education programand have a minimum of six monthsof relevant experience. This positionis located at our Denver office near Rose Medical Center. Our officehours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is not a REMOTE position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet patients and perform Check-in and Check-out procedures in anaccurate and timely manner
• Room patients, process urine specimens, and take vitals
• Process patient payments and perform billing payment entry
• Prepare payment batches and maintain accurate office money andcash transactions
• Perform medication, test and procedure authorizations
• Distribute notes and information to outside providers/entitieswhen needed
• Prepare for patient office visits and prepare lab work in patient charts
• Maintain appointment waitlist and schedule waitlist appointmentswhenever possible
• Scan and attach patient medical records and administrativedocuments in EMR
• Utilize and maintain office communication through Outlook,calendars, and task reminder
• Review and process incoming faxes, and flow labs that are notelectronically sent
• Make patient reminder calls for lab work two weeks prior topatient appointments
• Cross coverage of other duties as needed & other duties as assigned
