Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Hands-on MA experience or MA program completion counts.
• Preferred: EMT certification or degree in health/biological sciences.
• Preferred credentials: CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and interview patients; measure vital signs and document in charts.
• Document patient history in charts.
• Provide clear directions to patients and address exam concerns; document in patient chart.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during examinations.
• Perform basic nursing procedures under supervision.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers.
• Maintain logs and complete forms vital to revenue cycle.
• Maintain exam room supplies and cleanliness; sterilize equipment as needed.
