Job summary

Centennial Heart is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. You will prepare patients, rooms and equipment, assist with injections and labs, and support physicians during minor procedures and physicals.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of medical assisting experience and a high school diploma or GED, with MA certification or eligibility within set timelines. The role includes patient communication and referral screening.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Certification requirements: MA certification required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or eligibility within 60 days, or one year experience with certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment including sterilization.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen for referrals.
