HCA HealthONE Colorado Orthopedic Specialists in Colorado Springs is hiring a Clinical Medical Assistant for a full-time, day-shift schedule (Monday to Friday, no nights, no weekends or holidays). You will provide clinical support to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care and join a team that values collaboration and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, check-in/out, entering charges, handling calls, verifying insurance, collecting payments, preparing exam rooms,

Competenze

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required; acceptable certifications listed above.
• Recent graduates must obtain certification within 60 days of employment or within 1 year if already employed.

Mansioni

• Scheduling and canceling patient appointments.
• Checking-in and checking-out patients.
• Entering charges and payments.
• Answering the telephone.
• Verifying patient insurance and demographics.
• Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances.
• Performs selected administrative duties and assists nursing staff.
• May collect patient specimens.
• Takes patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Gives injections, and applies casts, splints, and dressings, as applicable.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Assists physician in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
• Coordinates continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities and referrals.
• Participates on a team for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits and programmatic evaluation.

Formazione

Medical Assistant Certification - required

RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA or ABR-OE acceptable

Recent grads must certify within 60 days
