Job summary

HCA HealthONE Premier OB/GYN is hiring a Clinical Medical Assistant for full-time days Monday through Friday. The role supports high-quality, efficient patient care and works with an amazing team dedicated to patient outcomes.

The position includes scheduling, intake/check-out, billing, insurance verification, specimen collection, vital signs, injections, minor procedures support, and room preparation. Certification is required or obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification required. Acceptable certifications include RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA or ABR-OE credentials.
• Recent grads must obtain certification within 60 days of employment, or within one year if already employed.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and canceling patient appointments.
• Checking-in and checking-out patients.
• Entering charges and payments.
• Answering the telephone.
• Verifying patient insurance and demographics.
• Collecting co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances.
• Assisting nursing staff with administrative duties.
• May collect patient specimens.
• Taking patient histories and vital signs.
• Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Giving injections and applying casts, splints, and dressings.
• Preparing and maintaining supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Assisting physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Performing other duties as required.
