Job summary

HealthONE Pediatric GI in Denver is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant for a full-time dayshift role (Monday–Friday). You will provide clinical support to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification, entering charges, taking histories and vitals, collecting specimens, and assisting with minor procedures while upholding the Practice's policies and values.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification - required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA credential/ABR-OE acceptable.
• Recent graduates must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment, or within one year if already employed without certification.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
• Checking-in and checking-out patients
• Entering charges and payments
• Answering the telephone and verifying patient insurance
• Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances
• Assists nursing staff and performs selected administrative duties
• May collect patient specimens and take histories and vitals
• Prepares exam rooms and assists with minor procedures
