Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Valid California driver’s license and liability insurance when driving on BHS business.
• First Aid certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
• CPR certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Medication training within 30 days of employment.
• Bi-lingual abilities may be required.
• Develop computer skills for data entry within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Record and report changes in client condition and emergencies.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor medications.
• For residential programs, round every 30 minutes for withdrawal management clients.
• Monitor client self-administration of medications as ordered.
• Administer anti-overdose medications and educate clients.
• Carry out interventions, respond to emergencies, and perform CPR/first aid.
• Participate in the client plan of care and communicate needs to the team.
• Interact with clients; provide education sessions within scope of practice.
• Assist with screening, admission, transfer, and discharge; handle belongings.
• Maintain charts and confidentiality; follow safety standards.
