Qualifications

• Arizona: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), or registration (RMA) or CCMA is required.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• BLS competency maintained through one of the major providers.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect care in ambulatory setting under the supervision of a physician.
• Participate as a member of the health care team and accept delegation from RN or physician.
• Work within patient care plans, policies, procedures and relationship-based care.
