Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams under physician supervision. You will perform direct and indirect patient care tasks, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures while maintaining patient care plans and compliance with clinic policies.

The role requires an MA diploma/associate degree, active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, BLS, and strong communication. Day shifts Monday through Friday. Nonexempt, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (Arizona) and completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), or registration (RMA) or CCMA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned direct and indirect care in ambulatory setting under physician supervision.
• Participates as a member of the health care team and follows the patient care plan.
• Carries out activities within scope of practice and organization policies.
