Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to improve health outcomes.

The position involves welcoming patients, taking histories and vitals, assisting with exams, and communicating results and instructions. Credentialed MA or EMT/Paramedic training is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of MA program and externship/internship preferred.
• EMT/Paramedic training or athletic trainer certification considered.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Educate patients and families to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management initiatives.
