Job summary

Corewell Health in Macomb, MI seeks full-time Medical Assistants or EMTs for a clinic at 15959 Hall Rd Suite 104. Position requires MA/EMT training and certification. Shifts are 8am-8pm, three shifts weekly on a floating schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include patient prep, triage, vital signs, EMR documentation, lab collection, injections, splinting, and admin duties while ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Travel to locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a MA or EMT program from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid MA, CMA, RMA or EMT certification.
• Two years of relevant healthcare experience; urgent care or emergency department.
• Willing to train new graduates.
• Must be proficient in injections.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment.
• Perform triage and obtain vital signs.
• Obtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentiality.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabs.
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal).
• Perform splinting when needed/directed.
• Perform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory procedures.
• Document within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accurately.
• Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers.
• Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment.
• Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume.
• Other duties as assigned

We are looking for full time, talented and compassionate Medical Assistants or EMT for our clinic located at 15959 Hall Rd Suite 104, Macomb, MI 48044.

*This position requires successful completion of a Medical Assistant or EMT-A education from an accredited institution*

Scheduling is tentative 8am - 8pm, 3 shifts/week for full time on a floating schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Schedules published on a monthly basis.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:
