Job summary

Michigan Health Specialists is hiring for Medical Assistant roles in Genesee County, Michigan. The positions include both full-time and part-time openings at local clinics, with duties spanning rooming patients, taking vitals, and supporting procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accredited MA program preferred; CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR at hire or within 30 days.
• EHR comfort - Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, reconcile medications, and document accurately in the EHR.
• Assist with exams and in-office procedures; administer injections and immunizations as delegated.
• Phlebotomy, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and EKGs.
• Handle refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and result follow-up; triage calls and portal messages.

Be the clinical partner our providers rely on - and often the team member our patients spend the most time with. You will room and prepare patients, assist with procedures, run point-of-care testing, and keep the clinical day moving.
