A leader in our field, Heartland Women's Healthcare of Advantia is a growing OB/GYN practice throughout Southern Illinois and Missouri. We are hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Marion team full-time. If you are excited to be part of a winning team, have experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Heartland Women's Healthcare is a great place to grow your career.

As a Heartland Women's Healthcare Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

Please note compensation is based on years of experience.
