0.90 FTE / 36 hours per week.

This position is eligible for a $3000 INCENTIVE for joining GHC!

Position Overview

The Care Team Specialist (CTS) supports high-quality patient care as part of a care team. Responsibilities include pre-visit preparation, monitoring patient flow, rooming patients, obtaining histories and vital signs, managing test results, supporting Epic workflows, returning calls, and assisting with exams and procedures. The CTS collaborates with RNs and providers, participates in in-basket reviews, and may have tasks delegated by practitioners and RNs. Candidates must have completed training as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT from an accredited program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must meet requirements for Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or EMT.
  • Medical Assistants need completed training and eligibility for certification within 6 months or three years of experience with current certification from recognized organizations.
  • LPNs require completed training and current Wisconsin licensure or eligibility within 6 months.
  • EMTs need completed training, a valid Wisconsin license, and CPR/AED certification within 4 months.
  • Ability to travel, with a valid Wisconsin driver license.
  • One year of relevant clinic experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment, computer applications (EPIC preferred), medical terminology, pharmacology, and administrative procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and confidentiality skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, and other movements.
