Qualifications

• One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting, preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.

• Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with adequate grammar and spelling.
• Interpersonal skills for customer service and teamwork.
• English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians during procedures.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Obtain proper consent forms prior to treatment.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction.
• Collect specimens and log results for testing.
• Explain procedures and post-care instructions to patients.
• Assist in surgical procedures while maintaining sterile field.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions.
• Maintain clean rooms and proper inventory of supplies.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and facility policies.
