Job summary

Seattle Roots Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join its Seattle-area clinics (Country Doctor Community Clinic and Carolyn Downs Family Medical Clinic). The role supports patient care, exam room readiness, and vaccination administration in a busy primary care setting.

You will engage with both adult and pediatric patients, document vitals, and coordinate with providers to ensure smooth operations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant training program.
• Washington MA certification and CPR certification required.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (required).
• EPIC EMR experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs and notify appropriate personnel of any abnormalities.
• Elicit and document patients' chief complaints and update medical records.
• Perform ordered procedures and assist with clinical exams and patient care.
