Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clerical, clinical, and business functions under supervision. You will perform pre-visit tasks, take vital signs, reconcile medications, assist providers, and help with scheduling and records management.

The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or progress toward it, BLS within 6 months, and compliance with infection control and privacy standards. This is a full-time position in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required or within 6 months of hire.
• BL S certification within 6 months of hire
• Credentialed through formal training program with knowledge testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting provider.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; keep exam rooms clean and stocked.
• Respond to patient portal messages on the same day.
• Administer vaccines and place prescription refills using standing protocols.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing; follow up with patients after procedures.
• Perform daily administrative duties: greeting, scheduling, phone answering, charting, and billing tasks.
• Adhere to policies on confidentiality, QA, safety, infection control; participate in daily huddle.
