Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support administrative and clinical tasks under the supervision of a licensed physician. The position may require travel to UF Health Heart & Vascular clinics to provide coverage as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program. Certification within 6 months and BLS from the American Heart Association are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and patient interaction.
• Proficient with computers and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under physician supervision.
• Provide coverage at UF Health Heart & Vascular clinics as needed, including travel between locations.
