Job summary

UF Health seeks a professional Medical Assistant to assist in both administrative and clinical tasks under the supervision of a licensed physician. The role may require travel to UF Health Heart & Vascular clinics to provide coverage as needed.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program, with certification within 6 months and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Less than one year - Medical Assistant experience.
• Prefer one year Medical Assistant experience.
• Must be graduate from approved Medical Assistant program.

Necessary Skills

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.
• Skilled in conflict resolution.
• Ability to use computers.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Employees must obtain medical assistant certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into the position.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
