Job summary

Logan Health Children's Specialty in Kalispell, MT, is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant to join our pediatric care team. You will greet and prep pediatric patients, assist physicians during examinations, collect specimens, and coordinate referrals and follow-ups.

The role requires RMA or CMA certification or Montana LPN license, with RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire. Strong teamwork and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare pediatric patients for appointments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and other clinical needs while maintaining patient comfort and privacy.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform competency-validated clinical tasks, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
• Support communication with patients and families regarding appointments, testing, medications, and care coordination.
• Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies while assisting with patient calls and portal communications.

Our Children's Specialty team provides compassionate, specialized care to children and families managing a variety of complex and ongoing healthcare needs. We are seeking a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through an accredited certifying organization.
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited certifying organization.
• OR
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current Montana LPN license.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before providing independent patient care, whichever comes first.

Preferred Experience

• One (1) year of experience in a medical practice setting preferred.
• Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, basic laboratory values, pharmacology, infection control practices, and HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Previous pediatric, specialty clinic, or experience supporting children and families navigating complex care needs is a plus.

Schedule

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
