Job summary

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for Urgent Care in Washington. Schedule: Thursday through Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Salmon Creek 2 location in Vancouver, WA. The role requires WA MA-Credential, national cert, and BLS; pay ranges per hour with differential opportunities.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vitals, EMR documentation, and routine clinical tasks such as injections and immunizations, with strong teamwork and time management paramount.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification from a national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required.
• Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Credential required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Current healthcare provider BLS required.

• Collect data and report in the EMR; manage prescription requests.
• Perform clinical skills: ear lavage, EKG, injections, immunizations, POC testing, phlebotomy.
• Receive and make calls to departments, patients, and peers.

• Wear mask all day; use N95 when protocols require.

Medical Assistant – Urgent Care (Part‑time, Washington State Credentialed)

Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 12:30p‑11:30p.

Location: Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street – Vancouver, WA 98686).

Hiring rate generally between $22.25-$27.45 per hour. Differentials available: Evening ($3.00perhour for hours after 5:30p), Saturday ($2.50perhour).

Role Overview

In this role you will:

• Room patients and take manual vitals and operate an automated BP machine.
• Collect data and report in the EMR, work the MA in‑basket managing prescription requests.
• Perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile set‑up, injections, immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, swabbing, phlebotomy.
• Receive and make phone calls to other departments, patients and peers.
• Use critical thinking skills to find resources and follow protocols and policies.
• Work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to wear a mask all day and an N95 in cases where protocol directs.
• Have strong time management and delegation skills to prioritize workflow.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification from national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required.
• Current Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified credential required, or ability to obtain within 6months of hire required.
• Current healthcare provider BLS required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $21.81 - $30.53.
