Vancouver Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant-Certified to join the Urgent Care team in Vancouver, WA. The role requires WA State MA-Certified credentials and a Graduate of an accredited MA program.

You will work 30 hours per week (Sun–Tue, 12:30p–11:30p) with differential pay for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and you must be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. The position involves rooming patients, taking vitals, EMR data entry, and performing clinical skills

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification from national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required.
• Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified credential required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Current healthcare provider BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take manual vitals and operate an automated BP machine.
• Collect data and report in the EMR, manage prescription requests in MA in-basket.
• Perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile setup, injections, immunizations, point-of-care testing, swabbing, phlebotomy.
• Receive and make calls to other departments, patients and peers; use protocols and policies.

Job Title

Join the Urgent Care team as a part-time Washington State credentialed Medical Assistant-Certified !

Location

Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street - Vancouver, WA 98686)

Schedule (Part-Time)

30 hours/week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 12:30p-11:30p :: Available Differentials: Evenings after 5:30p ($3.08/hour), Saturday and Sunday ($2.62/hour)

Compensation

Hiring rate generally between $22.25-$27.50 per hour, and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience

Pay Range

$21.81 - $30.53

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take manual vitals and operate an automated BP machine
• Collect data and report in the EMR, work the MA in-basket managing prescription requests
• Perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile set-up, injections, immunizations, point-of care testing, swabbing, phlebotomy
• Receive and make phone calls to other departments, patients and peers. And use critical thinking skills to find resources and follow protocols and policies
• Work independently and as a team member
• Ability to wear a mask all day and an N95 in cases where protocol directs
• Have strong time management and delegation skills to prioritize workflow
