Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners and assist in delivering patient care. The MA II will perform all MA I duties and operate within established policies and procedures to ensure quality care for assigned clinic locations.

The role requires clinic-based clinical skills, compliance with certifications, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National CPR/BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months healthcare experience.
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Pay Range

Pay Range: $26.47 - $40.49
