Job summary

Paris Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team, delivering routine clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients. You will assist with assessments, treatments, specimen collection, and keep exam rooms organized and stocked to ensure smooth patient flow.

We value critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Required: high school diploma or equivalent; CCMA/CMA/RMA certificates within 60 days, BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• CCMA, CMA or RMA certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong clinical and administrative duties experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and examination areas; stock and clean.
• Perform administrative duties: filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, registration.
• Fulfill other tasks as requested/assigned.

How You'll Contribute

A Medical Assistant who excels in this role performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office:

• Under the supervision of physicians or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.


• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.


• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.


• Maintains examination areas.


• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.


• Other tasks as requested/assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


• Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred


• Licenses: Required: CCMA, CMA or RMA Certifications via the AAMA or NHA must be obtained within 60 days of hire


• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire

Schedule

5x8, Day shift, rotating weekends
