Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care across our outpatient centers.

You will room patients, record vital signs, and assist clinicians under established clinical protocols. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent with one of the following: MA program diploma, 1 year medical assisting experience, Military Medic, EMT-P, or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one of the listed qualifying routes (MA program diploma; 1 year medical assisting experience; Military Medic; EMT-P; or equivalent combination).

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs.
• Complete patient interviews and histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
• Assist in examinations, treatments, and tests as ordered by physician.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests.
