Job summary

Optum is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Medical Specialties team at Reliant Medical Group in Leominster, MA. This full-time position offers a 38.75-hour week, with a 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM schedule and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

You will prepare exam rooms, chart health histories, measure vital signs, and support providers with minor procedures, using EPIC EMR for documentation. Benefits are offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or 1+ years of experience performing MA duties after on-the-job training OR enrollment in an accredited MA program OR EMT certification.
• Experience working as a Medical Assistant or EMT.
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems and medical back-office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment and instruments.
• Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs.
• Document patient care using electronic medical records software.
• Assist providers with minor in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing.
