Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Durham, NC is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital-based settings. You will take vital signs, assist with exams, perform EKGs, collect specimens, and help maintain patient flow and documentation in the EHR under provider supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program credential, HS diploma, BLS, and relevant certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification or registration (AAMA, AMT, NHA) preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes and vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.
• Document in the EHR and coordinate care transitions.
• Schedule and verify referrals, tests, and authorizations.
