Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will work with patients, assist with procedures, manage vital signs, and help coordinate care to improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting histories, administering medications, and educating families. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to care standards within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of an accredited MA program and externship.
• MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/etc.) preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; otherwise relevant training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and testing.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education for better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
