Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Western Carolina - Blue Mountain Urology team. This full-time role supports a fast-paced clinic delivering in-office urology care, with a Monday–Friday, 8a–5p schedule.

Under supervision of providers, you will perform patient assessments, basic diagnostics, specimen collection, and documentation, while maintaining exam rooms and supplies. Office procedures and administrative duties are also included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Previous medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of provider, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.

Join our BMU team that is a fast-paced clinic which performs in-office procedures, our office specializes in advanced Urology care. Our team includes two highly skilled Urology surgeons, and a nurse practitioner who work together to provide exceptional, compassionate care. What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 90 days of hire.
