Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.
• Coordinates workflow and maintains records of office activities.
• Checks in/check-out patients and updates demographics.
• Collects copays/coinsurance balances for current visit and outstanding balances.
• Schedules referrals and sends required records to other physicians/specialists.
• Answers phones and distributes messages, including answering service messages.
• Keeps the front office tidy and monitors supplies.
• Handles information requests and addresses work requests in a timely manner.

How You'll Contribute

• Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.


• Coordinates workflow and complies records of office activities.


• Completes all aspects of check-in/check-out process.


• Enters and updates patient demographics and insurance information.


• Collects any copay/coinsurance balances for current visit and any outstanding balance from patients.


• Complete pre-appointment checklists and prepares accordingly.


• Places, answers, and directs phone calls and distributes messages. Including retrieval and distribution of answering service messages.


• Keeps office area neat and tidy.


• Monitors and maintains log of needed office supplies.


• Handles information requests, including reviewing files and records, answering inquiries, and responding to incoming work requests.


• Monitors and addresses all front office task buckets in a timely manner.


• Schedule referrals for patients to be seen by other physicians/specialists as ordered. Send all records needed and notify patient as needed.


• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers and Market director.

Schedule: Full-time, Days (Monday-Friday)
