Job Title: Medical Assistant (Bilingual – Internal Medicine)

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical & Phlebotomy Care: Perform blood draws (phlebotomy), collect lab specimens, room patients, measure vital signs, record medical histories, and assist providers with internal medicine exams and minor procedures.
• Bilingual Patient Communication: Provide fluent verbal and written translation (English/Spanish) for patient intake, medical instructions, consent forms, and follow-up care queries.
• Insurance Verification & Eligibility: Verify patient insurance benefits, eligibility, and copays prior to appointments; obtain necessary prior authorizations for procedures, medications, and diagnostic imaging.
• Referral Management: Process, track, and manage outgoing specialist referrals, ensuring accurate transfer of medical records and completion of patient appointments.
• Internal Medicine & Administrative Workflow: Support chronic disease management tracking, maintain electronic health records (EHR), communicate lab results, administer ordered injections/vaccinations, and manage exam room inventory.
